Alerting

Alert Repeating

Heavy sleeper? Not to worry. Knowledge Front's system can send alerts repeatedly, but not in an annoying way. With every repeat of the same alert, the interval time is doubled. So the alert will continue to repeat, but the system won't bombard someone if they are not in a position to repair the issue.

Alert Pausing

To avoid unnecessary panic during maintenance periods, Knowledge Front monitors can be paused - - for however long you want. Taking aAlerts off pause may be done manually or by letting the pause time expire. So eve if the paused alerts are forgotten, they will still come back online.

Alert Delivery

250 SMS Messages or voice calls per month are included with each monitor, for every month of paid service. The total is cumulative. For example, if there are 4 monitors configured the total number of included SMS or Voice alerts is 4 * 250 = 1000 (i.e. 4x250).
There will be a $0.10 USD charge for each SMS or voice call performed over the included amount.

SMS

When an alert is triggered SMS messages are sent to the configured destinations.

Voice Calls

Everyone probably doesn't have a company-issued cell phone, which will receive SMS alerts, right? Configure Knowledge Front's alerting system to call support personnel, whenever an alert is triggered, and a computer operator will read the text of the alert message.

E-mail

Time and date stamped e-mail alert notifications are still the preferred form of notification for many IT and business managers.
